Competitive company members will have the opportunity to participate in up to 3 competitions during the 2023/2024 season, a variety of community performances and extra workshops! Our competitive season runs from August until May. Contact us for more information!
Elevate Dance Centre’s competitive and pre-professional program gives students aged 6-14 the opportunity to develop their dance skills in a challenging yet nurturing environment. Company members have the opportunity to perform and/or compete in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, modern, tap, musical theater, acro and/or contemporary. The purpose of the EDC Competition Performance Company is to provide students with a well- rounded, fun and exciting competitive dance experience that is so much more than just great dancing!
Competitive company members enjoy belonging to a team and building lasting friendships, while accelerating their technique training and strengthening their performance skills. Competitive company members benefit greatly from rehearsals with a heightened focus on training as well as from additional performance opportunities at competitions and community events!
Being a part of the EDC Dance Company requires that both dancers and parents make a full commitment to their fellow company members/families, to our studio, and to our full competitive season.

Dancers who have a desire to achieve a higher level of technique, artistry and performance are encouraged to participate in EDC’s competitive and pre-professional program.

Become an EDC Company Member
EDC’s Performance Competition Company is designed to provide students with a well-rounded, fun, exciting and professional dance experience! That experience includes 4 key elements:
Accelerated Training: EDC Company dancers learn skills earlier, at an accelerated pace, and with higher standards. Learning in an environment focused on growth gives dancers the opportunity to develop their skills and technique while learning and perfecting their performance strength.
Additional Performing Opportunities: EDC Company dancers may perform at community events throughout the season, as well as at our Winter Showcase Performance. Company members also have the opportunity to attend 1-3 competitions throughout the season.
Additional Learning Opportunities: EDC Company dancers will have several additional learning opportunities: leadership classes, studio workshops and classes with guest choreographers and visiting dance companies. Company members also have the opportunity to attend 1-2 conventions throughout the season. Company dancers also gain insight from judges' comments after each competition. These critiques and the high standards of competitive dance give our dancers the impetus to work hard, dream big and be the BEST they can be!
A Family-Like Community: Our mission is for our studio to be a second home for our students and a positive, encouraging community where they can develop life-long friendships. Throughout the year dancers have opportunities to connect with others on the team through our troupe events, fun activities and of course the memories made performing, competing and learning and growing together in the classroom!
